This time, AFTER LIFE welcomes NOCO, resident DJ of Paramount—one of Japan’s most influential rave collectives, renowned for supporting Tokyo’s underground scene for decades and earning recognition across Asia. Rooted in the early days of Japan’s underground trance movement, NOCO has spent more than 25 years continuously evolving her sound. Centered around techno while seamlessly weaving tribal rhythms and breakbeats into her sets, she creates hypnotic grooves that awaken a deeply trance-like state of mind. Her music balances delicacy with unwavering strength, captivating dance floors across generations and beyond gender. As AFTER LIFE continues to shine a light on the richness of the local scene, it once again turns its attention to NOCO’s singular presence, making her long-awaited return to the party. Joining her on the lineup is Mari Sakurai, fresh from a European tour that included acclaimed festivals such as Stone Techno Festival and Dekmantel, where she captivated audiences with her powerful performances.
