BWS Cool Room is heading to Naarm, taking over The Wool Mill, Brunswick East on Saturday 31 October from 7 pm 'til late.
The free event brings together the worlds of the BWS Cool Room and Espolòn Tequila, with a lineup of heavy-hitters, a complimentary Espolòn drink on arrival, and food from Dingo Ate My Taco.
Headlining is Naarm-born producer, keyboard player and DJ Harvey Sutherland, known for bringing soul and disco influences into club music. His latest releases turn towards leaner, driving club sounds - fitting for a BWS Cool Room set after dark.
He's joined by DITA, the New Delhi-born, Indonesia-based DJ known for eclectic sets spanning proto-house, '90s breaks, Balearic and disco. A resident at Bali's Klymax Discotheque, she's taken her genre-crossing selections to international stages including Dekmantel and Berlin's Panorama Bar.
Yikes, a Boorloo-based Wongi DJ, producer and community radio presenter, brings a deep, percussive sound that moves freely between genres.
Completing the bill is Meanjin-born, Naarm-based selector Hannah D, known for delicately blended sets that channel the progressive sounds of the '90s and '00s into euphoric dancefloor moments.
Together, they'll soundtrack this Naarm edition of BWS Cool Room: 4 artists, 1 room, free entry.
Tickets are free but strictly limited and do not guarantee entry. Once we’re full, we’re full.
