Kings of Bass presents MESSIE (Syber 008, NZ)

About

MESSIE, the Kiwi selector behind the viral SYBER 008 set and Fred Again’s hand-picked opener, makes her Singapore debut 𝕂𝕚𝕟𝕘𝕤 𝕠𝕗 𝔹𝕒𝕤𝕤 𝕡𝕣𝕖𝕤𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕤: 𝕄𝕖𝕤𝕤𝕚𝕖 (ℕℤ) From small-town Gisborne to Glastonbury's Shangri-La stage, MESSIE (Tessa Hills) is one of the fastest-rising DJs in global club music. She's a former drummer, and her sets are built on rhythm: jungle, garage and breakbeat slam into baile funk, Jersey club, ghetto tech and techno, often three or four genres inside one track. Fred Again picked her to open his surprise NZ show, then flew her to Perth to play to 35,000 people. Since then she's played Reading & Leeds and Rhythm & Vines and sold out her own tours. It's high-energy, bootleg-heavy and impossible to predict, and it's only going to get messier.
