Idris Elba is no stranger to the dance floor. Performing as IDRIS, the internationally acclaimed actor, DJ and producer brings his dance-music alias and record label Sound International to Bangkok for one night only, presented by Collective Minds. Long before Hollywood, music was Elba's first creative language — introduced to DJing as a child by his uncle, a London sound-system owner, and later balancing acting work with sets at legendary club night Twice as Nice. That instinct has since taken him to Ibiza residencies at Pacha, Pikes and Hï, and festival stages at Glastonbury and Coachella. As IDRIS, he fuses the Afro, calypso and reggae sounds of his youth with tech-house and progressive rhythms — a sound now carried through Sound International, his label built in tribute to his uncle's original sound system.
