About

Tokyo-based party r108 explores the fleeting moments of resonance that emerge within the anonymity of urban life. Bringing strangers together through sound, the night focuses on the brief yet powerful connections forged on the dancefloor. This edition presents an unprecedented and highly anticipated lineup, marking a truly unique night in Tokyo's club scene where leading talents from diverse spheres intersect. Taking center stage is machìna, the Tokyo and Berlin-based electronic artist whose global footprint includes performances at MUTEK, Berghain, and touring with Richie Hawtin. Revered in both the music and fashion worlds, she will take to the decks for a highly anticipated DJ set, bringing her distinct sonic vision and refined sensibilities straight to the dancefloor. Joining her is club scene heavyweight DJ DARUMA. Known for fundamentally shifting the Japanese club scene and breaking down genre walls as part of DEXPISTOLS, he brings his hip-hop soul and dynamic electronic sounds to ignite the dancefloor. They are supported by a distinct and vibrant lineup of selectors, each bringing their own unique cultural background to the decks: U-holic, who weaves obscure sounds and has expanded his reach globally, including a recent mix for London's Rinse FM; YURINA, whose background in fashion heavily influences her genre-fluid sets rooted in UK Garage and House; Keigo Okazaki, a producer bringing cinematic sound design sensibilities to the floor; and BANANA-CHAN, founder of PLAYGROUND, known for her adventurous and uplifting house and disco grooves that radiate a natural, positive energy. Guiding the night is r108 resident KENTACATS, anchoring the journey with cutting-edge techno and house. With a brilliant intersection of music, fashion, and diverse artistic roots, this unparalleled lineup promises an extraordinary night of energy and resonance.
