With releases on cutting-edge labels like Livity Sound, BFDM, and Wisdom Teeth, he's one of the few French artists of his generation to have broken through into the UK scene, a space often impenetrable to talents from abroad. In 2021, his mini-album YES.DJ set the clubs on fire worldwide, becoming a classic on dancefloors. His latest album, Cuspide des Sirènes, is a dive into a dreamlike universe where rhythms slow down to hypnotize. This personal project, conceived as a magical epic, even comes with a Game Boy video game, proof that the artist is constantly reinventing the rules of the game. Traveling through clubs and festivals around the world is in his DNA. His mixes are quickly becoming DJ lore thanks to his knack for tension and surprise, along with his adventurous spirit. Just look at his now-famous Dekmantel Selectors set from 2021 or his 9-hour back-to-back marathon with Skee Mask in 2022. His explorations don't stop at the dancefloor: he also composes for contemporary dance pieces and immersive installations, where his raw textures and hybrid rhythms find new resonance. Simo Cell is also a committed artist. In 2021, he published an open letter in Libération, urging the music industry to take responsibility in the face of the ecological emergency. In an industry where these issues are often sidelined, he advocates for more sustainable tours and a future where partying and ecological consciousness can coexist. His label TEMET spotlights the most forward-thinking talents in the French underground scene and also runs workshops and masterclasses across France and Europe, passing on his expertise to future generations. With over 15 years in the industry, Simo Cell remains a free spirit, always moving, always searching for new ways to break the mold. His playful and bold approach makes him a unique artist, a pioneer whose every set and track is an invitation to explore the unknown.
