Rooted in the rhythms of the African underground, the night explores the hypnotic grooves of Amapiano, the raw, percussive energy of Gqom, and the futuristic, driving sounds of Afro Tech. Three distinct musical expressions connected by rhythm, movement, and a shared spirit of sonic exploration. Inspired by the legacy of the Flying Cheetahs and marking the launch of DRUM LANGUAGE INTERNATIONAL, a growing collective connecting crews across Asia, the night bridges local scenes and international dance floors through the evolving sounds of African electronic music. Moving through the deep, hypnotic pulse of Amapiano, the stripped-back intensity of Gqom, and the forward-driving textures of Afro Tech, the night celebrates the diversity and innovation of South African dance music. Representing South Africa at the launch of DRUM LANGUAGE INTERNATIONAL, DNowherej joins a gathering built on cultural exchange, collective movement, and the belief that rhythm can cross borders where words cannot.
