Opportunity

About

Opportunity Opportunity is an event hosted by OOVAA, an Osaka-based DJ whose sets revolve around house and breaks. The event was launched with the hope that, just as its name suggests, it would become an opportunity for something meaningful to happen in the lives of those who experience it. The event first began in 2024 at a bar in Hommachi, Osaka. After the bar closed, OOVAA decided to continue the project at a new venue, opening the door to a new chapter for Opportunity. For its first edition at the new location, Opportunity takes place at flo, a music bar known for its carefully curated selection of craft beers and natural wines. Many people also visit flo for its sound system, featuring H.A.N.D. Hi-Fi speakers brought in from Berlin. In this exceptional setting, we’re joined by three DJs, each bringing their own unique approach to music. SHIRAKAWA is based in Osaka and runs unsound, an event centered around techno and house. He regularly plays at a variety of clubs and bars. yuhi runs dwarf, an event with a dedicated following, and is known for a versatile selection ranging from minimal to breaks. Tatz, based in Shanghai, is known for a flexible approach to selection, moving effortlessly between minimal, house, disco, and more to suit the atmosphere of the moment. Join us for a night of diverse DJ styles shaped by different backgrounds and environments, paired with delicious drinks in an exceptional setting.
